I love born to be wild

"Earlier this summer my honey + i decided to sell everything, leave our Maui home and hit the open road for some much needed road-trippin, van-campin + festival-hopin. With our hearts on our sleeves, our home on our back and a handfull of crystals, sea-shells + good books, we have found ourselves experiencing a different kind of freedom." - CHLOE CHIPPENDALE

Photos via Erika Larsen, except third photo from bottom which was found on google images
Erika Larsen spent 3 years living and photographing the Sami people.  Living 200 hundred miles north of the Arctic circle, they follow the reindeer herds as a means of existence... time only exists as it relates to the movement of the animals and not that big star in the sky, which doesn't come out to shine for weeks on end...

"But my parents friends would go to a little town in France, the next day they would be in Peru, the next day they could be in Hong Kong.  They were artists.  They had freedom. "

June nostalgia

Photos by me

No matter how rocky the coast is in Maine you don't get to see rocks like these here...Is it weird to miss this California-scape? The best part about hitting the mountain on the weekends ...the drive home through the desert back to the beach :)
